The rain

Okay, so the rain is affecting my mood today and i feel like reading, and painting. The rain is giving me ideas to paint seas flooding our streets and us striving for the sun and warmth.

The First Amendment

I believe that the first Amendment is the most important of the bill of rights. It protects the civil liberties of individuals in the United States. For example the Amendment states that congress shall make no law abridging freedom of speech, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble. This is what really makes America what it is. Without it, who would we be? How would we live life?

Would we fall or be punished because we could not have our opinion? Because we do not have the right to rebel?

This right enables us to have these things. Although there are certain limitations, such as abruptly ensuring violence, or threats. I just can not begin to explain how this country would suck if we the people did not have such rights. I'm pretty sure that most of the population would have charges against them. I'm sure that I would be charged as well.

Fooooooooooddddddddddd!

Today I cooked for my family and luckily the food tasted good. I thought it was going to come out bad, but knowing that I did pretty makes me want to do it again. (It was my first time) Sadly I don't have a picture to show you all. The Greatness of my cooking!

"The American War is over, but this is far from being the case with the American Revolution. Nothing but the first act of the drama is closed." Benjamin Rush

I agree with this quote from Benjamin Rush. Look at what has happened since the war. Countless Rebellions, strikes, and wars. Everything leads up to something else and our economy suffers on a day to day basis. For god sakes, we're still in a recession!

Take into effect what is going on right now across the country and here in Philadelphia. "Occupy Philadelphia". Why should "we the people" suffer because the government can't sustain and take care of its own debts?

In a better sense we can conclude that we have revolutions everyday. Whether it be about money, ethnicity or freedom. This country in all senses of it has become a playground for war within its own people. The "greatness" of this country has gone downhill. The question is unanswered to when we all can live in harmony and begin to grow once more as a nation, and when the government will be fair to its people.

Inspiration- if i could fly

I was browsing around on youtube and I so happened to listen to this song by one of my favorite bands. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23Cca-7UX-E

When I listened to the lyrics, it made me think of how people get when they're depressed, when they've lost some one and when they feel the world is against them. They just want to feel free and go to a "happy" place. So they can start over.....

In your opinion what made the Declaration of Independence successful and/or a failure?

The Declaration of Independence had a success in bringing the colonies together to form what we know today as The United States of America. This document released the colonies from British control. It gave them the power to be free and dictate their own lives as a new nation. To have a chance to make something of themselves. The declaration broke ties with the king and had established a republic.
It gave us the power to vote for elected representatives who are responsible  are for our rights as a people.

I do not think that this document was a failure. Ever since it was signed, America has grown not only as a nation but as a people. Although there are certain aspects such as war came into play later on after the document was signed.

The Phrase "This is America" has become a very common term. Just because we have independence doesn't always mean that we the people are "free". Atleast thats what some individuals might say.
